Brief Description and Functionality
The Automated Hydroponic Monitoring and Control System is an intelligent, sensor-based setup designed to optimize plant growth without soil by precisely managing environmental and nutrient conditions.
The system continuously monitors pH, substrate moisture, water temperature, and CO₂ concentration using a network of digital sensors. This data is processed by a microcontroller (such as Arduino or ESP32), which automates functions like irrigation, nutrient dosing, and environmental alerts—ensuring plants receive ideal conditions with minimal human intervention.

Working
1. System Initialization
- Power is supplied.
- Microcontroller boots up and initializes sensors and devices.
2. Sensor Monitoring
- Sensors continuously gather data on:
- Nutrient solution pH and EC
- Water level and temperature
- Air humidity and temperature
3. Decision-Making
- The microcontroller compares sensor readings with preset ideal thresholds for plant growth.
- If a parameter is out of range, it triggers corrective actions automatically.
4. Circulation Cycle
- Water pump turns on/off in a cycle (based on timer or plant needs), circulating the solution through plant roots and back to the reservoir.
5. User Notifications & Logging
- System displays real-time readings on an interface or sends alerts via a connected app/cloud platform (in IoT-enabled systems).
- Logs are kept for historical data tracking and optimization.
