20251ME4: Electric Bicycle

Brief Description & Functionality
1. Introduction: With the increasing challenges of urban congestion, pollution, and fuel costs, electric bicycles are gaining prominence as a sustainable mode of transport. This project aims to design and fabricate an innovative, ergonomic, and eco-friendly electric bicycle that is both cost-effective and user-friendly.
2. Problem Statement: Urban environments face severe issues of air and noise pollution due to the overuse of fossil fuel-based transportation. Conventional bicycles, while eco-friendly, demand high physical effort which may discourage usage over longer distances or by older individuals. There is a need for an affordable, easy-to-use electric bicycle that supports both manual and motor-assisted riding.
Objectives:
- To design and fabricate a working prototype of an electric bicycle.
- To develop an ergonomic and aesthetic frame incorporating battery and motor support.
- To ensure user comfort, energy efficiency, and optimal performance.
