Humble Beginnings!

Well, my beginning to the MEP1001 was one filled with excitement at first but there was a bit of disappointment but what I did see was pure determination and patience! Our lovely professor, Prof. Sunil Jha was on the task to get everyone on board and I have to say, it's easy to criticize but if I were in his place, I would've surely panicked and messed everything up. The TAs and Sunil sir himself got everything under control and his story about the sky falling was truly something motivational!

The Lab

Well enough about the shortcomings, now lets talk about the fun stuff! Huge labs and so much machinery. I was so thrilled when we were showed around the lab and when I got to see the huge machines and people working on them. The powerful workstations, the 3D printers, the soldering station etc. Everything was so overwhelming!

You help me, I help you!

There was a very interesting encounter when I was learning CAD design on one of the workstations. While I was halfway into my project, another fellow student came and sat beside me and he was helping me here and there and because I have eyesight issues, he helped me out with the dimensions which were written on paper and I went on designing. When I finished, he took over the workstation and started working on the same. The strange part was that he wasn't able to finish it properly and I had to help him in certain places. He seemed like he knew everything but when it was his turn, he needed help. This was quite a funny occurrence but nevertheless, helping someone is our duty as human beings (not in exams please)

Our team, we call it Hyperion!

Well now, my team and I, which consists of wonderful and hardworking members Mayank, Surya, Anubhav and Ayaan, are working on a game console using ESP32!
We shall work to make it as unique as we can and shall thrive! All of us have vowed to put in our best efforts and learn all the skills we need and devote time and effort to this. Our console will utilize the raw power of the ESP32 chip and well while it's no PS5 or XBOX SERIES X, it will be a nice little portable companion if you enjoy retro gaming once in a while with good battery life and lots of fun titles to play through! Also just note, if you ever see Mayank in person, call him leader sahab! He's our team leader and a wonderful person all around!

Well, I won't make this long and boring, so here's the ending!

On an ending note, I would like to appreciate our professor who seems more like a friend, our one and only Prof. Sunil Jha. I can feel the entrepreneur spirit and the continuous urge to innovate and create! He is the perfect person to lead this course and I hope all of us thrive under his mentorship.
